Did anyone move while their stimulus check was coming

I knew shit was going to get ****ed up? Why because everything in my life has to be a gdamn hassel. I moved a couple weeks ago and I of course that was one big cluster ****. Now I think they sent my stimulus check back to the IRS and I am going to have to fill out some bullshit forms and shit. Anyone that knows me knows I hate forms, likes, people, babies, John rocker, Bill Pecota, Santa Clause, Easter bunny, Sega Genisus, Fat people, skinny people, mail, post offices, dmv's, santa clause, Eggs, Master shake, nascar, ****!
Anyway all I want is my money back. Did anyone move during the stimulus process? I just want to know if they will forward it. I called the post office, they told me to ask the IRS if they would forward it. After going through 30 minutes of prompts they didn't answer my questions. I told them to fist themselves

I did change my address way before it was mailed btw

blueballs 07-11-2008 08:43 AM

it is probably lost in mail forwarding hell

DaFace 07-11-2008 08:45 AM

Has the time passed that you were supposed to receive it? If not, I'd bet it gets forwarded. Forwarding is done by the USPS based on a name and address match, so it shouldn't matter if the IRS sends it to your old addy.

That being said, I've never known the USPS' forwarding system to be all that reliable either.

I moved, but I was certain to keep my bank account active until I received my direct deposit.

Quit your whining. Nobody forced you to move. :)

i didn't know there were still people out there who didn't get their tax return direct deposited.

i'd call the irs office and ask. i'm sure they have gotten this question many times.

Have you seen the economy lately? It's hard for guys like me out there. This stimulus check was supposed to pay off my Credit Cards. So much for that. Luckily caller Id lets me dodge the calls hehe
