Did you make your own mole? I eat it a lot and have a lot of different sources for it, but I have yet to make my own.

Yep. First time having it, so I can't comment on its authenticity or compare. But I thought it was pretty damn good.

The lead is for the internal temp of the meat or just the grill/smoker? I tried to do/chart the internal temp for baby backs one time (hey, why not!!), but found little success.

Keeping it simple tonight. I've been eating too much "bad" food lately. It's just a chicken and rice dish in the crock pot. Boneless skinless chicken breast with lots of veggies and spices... and rice.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... in dishes that call for chili powder, homemade chili powder can really elevate your meal. So worth the time to make it (which is only about 10 minutes if you keep everything on hand.

Or just get one of the myriad chili powders from Penzey's.

One of these chicken recipes is about to go down tonight. I'm thinking the middle one. Spinach, sautéed mushrooms and cheese.

Homemade manicotti, both cheese and sausage, roasted broccoli, garlic bread, and pound cake with strawberry's and Amaretto whip cream. Some kind of wine the neighbors are bringing.
