alright, the heats are seeded (randomly, roughly even; as close as possible) and polls will be posted within the next hour or so.

here is the general structure: we start out with 128 villains of all types (movies and tv)


1st round: 16 heats of 8 (top 4 advance from each heat) (to 64 total)
2nd round 8 rounds of 8 (top 4 advance from each heat) (to 32 total)
3rd round: 4 rounds of 8 (top four advance) (to 16 total)
4th round: 8 rounds of 2 (one from each matchup advances to elite 8)
5th round: 4 rounds of 2 (one from each matchup advances to final 4)
6th round: 2 rounds of 2 (one from each matchup advances to final)
7th round: final.

It would be easier for me to vote if I knew who the hell any of these people were.

and yeah, bug, I have an issue with knowing who some of the villains are. I've checked some youtube clips, but it's hard to get the depth of villainy of some of them (who are quite revered by critics and movie-fans 'in the know) with a short youtube clip.

Some really great villians have fallen already.
