Yes, the Chiefs have sucked so far this season, but I don't think their window is closed. They could come back and do great things next year. Who knows. But I'll swear that Jack Harry would do a happy dance if the Chiefs went 0-16. That guy is the most negative ass on local TV. :cuss:

I didn't hear Jack, but I knew the same thing at the end of the Colts game last year.

And by all intents and purposes the Vermeil era has been a failure as defined by the goals they set.

They are old, but I think the window will be open next year. We should still have the same OL (perhaps Sampson at LT instead of Roaf, but I figure Shields, Wiegmann, Waters, and Welbourne are locks to return). We should still have Green, Holmes, and Gonzo, plus the addition of Wilson and maybe Boerichter.

I think there's one more year left with the core of this offense and more tweaking for STs and Defense. The front four seem to be playing much better. Add another legitimate CB and maybe a legitimate LB and the defense is vastly improved.

After next season - rebuild. Total and complete youth movement. Rebuild the front office too - whole new personnel department.

If Priest doesnt retire. If priest goes so does Roaf, Shields, Richardson and they Trade Tony G to get draft picks which if King Carl is still picking will blow up in our faces again.

well i think there is a chance for one more run but that is it. Roaf needs to go now anyway. the guy i saw sunday is slow and old.

One bad game doesn't mean the guy has to go.

its not his run blocking i have an issue with but his pass blocking is not up to snuff. faster younger D-linemen are blowing right past him. i know he is better then that

JMO, But Roaf has had about 3 bad games this year. His play has been very inconsistent.

Next year is it. They will have to rebuild from there. The problem is they really don't have a lot of quality behind the starters since they haven't done a very good job with the draft.

I think Jack Harry's window closed about 15 years ago.
