Funny you mention that... this will basically force Memphis to either drop the 2005 Preseason NIT or the 2006 Maui Invitational. Yeah, like we need to weaken our schedule any more when our conference becomes Memphis, Tulsa, UAB, UTEP, and OH MY GOD.

I figured you would have caught the whole "Maui Owwie" reference, in which Ball State actually won a meaningful game. :)

The SEC should seriously consider dropping Vandy and adding Memphis.

In a fair world, sure... but we're talking about college athletics here, man. Next thing you're going to be spouting is that all teams should have a legitimate shot at the national title in football.

Its all about $$$...but I would think Memphis could draw more $$$ in than Vanderbilt...is Vandy good at anything?

Even cooler, Kansas State has scoreboard on Memphis.

This sucks, really does. The schools could use another 2 - 5 games , not only the renvnue, but the kids need it for their skills, brings more exicitment to college basketball.

The big drawback is the extra time it takes the kids away from school studies.
