Anyone noticed that Chiefs Radio Network screws up weekly?

Last two weeks, I've listened to postgame on our local AM station that carries the Chiefs Radio Network broadcast. Has anyone noticed that they keep screwing up the postgame show? You get to hear the "behind the scenes" chatter going on because they're going on the air without realizing it. You hear stuff like:

"Alright, and we'll cut to Mitch, roll intro. Good job on that interview Roy. On my signal now, roll intro then cut to Mitch. Then we'll go down to Bob in next segment. You read me Billy?"

I can understand once, but two weeks in a row is pathetic. The Chiefs television broadcast did the same thing, coming back from commercial and not letting the broadcast guys know they were on air during the Dallas preseason game.

They've always done that, it's not an accident.

Oh really? That's bizarre. I guess it's sort of cool in that you get a look behind the scenes...but it kind of defeats the whole purpose. That music also gets a little repetitive.

Carl allways signs the low tier broadcast engineers and as such, that's why you get those screw ups because he's trying to save money for Lamar.

Their engineer(s) SUCK. The interviews and callers are completely inaudible... unless you crank your radio all the way up. They have no freaking clue how to level the recording, then they play music over the top. Gretz, clear... Mitch, Bill and Lenny... clear. Players and callers.... inaudible mumbling.

That is purposely done that way. I believe they only do it once, though. Kind of like ESPN did in the first football game of the season - USC vs Virginia Tech. If memory serves, they did the actual broadcast on ESPN and the behind the scenes stuff on ESPN 2. I thought it was pretty cool. Of course, if they continiue to do it every week, it loses its coolness.

Is this a joke?
