Packers making do with rookies
Not that the Packers are Superbowl bound or anything, but they seem to do just fine with their defensive rookies. Ahmad Carroll (20th pick overall) is starting for them in the secondary. He recovered a fumble for a touchdown last night. The fumble was caused by another rookie. They also held the Rams to 17 points. It must be nice to have a front office with an eye for defensive talent.

Isnt this the same front office that presided over the KC defenses of the 90's?

I was thinking the same thing while watching last night's game.
There are many teams doing what the Chiefs apparently cannot. The Panthers defense has lost so many starters on defense, it's hard to keep track. Yet they held Tampa Bay to just 14 points on Sunday. The same team that gutted our starters for 34 points. |

The thread title should read:
"Packers making do with rookies and our castoffs." I forgot about Truluck recording a sack last night as well. |

Kurt Schottenheimer is their DB coach.
Actually wasn't Mike Sherman getting ripped for screwing up with some personnel moves? He was on the hot seat earlier this year before this win streak. Winning heals all... |

With the exception of Marty Schott. I think he made the difference.
He was in the war room - perhaps he had more influence on the King than DV, GC, etc on the picks. |
oldandslow gets the gold star for the day...of course it's the HC's that made the difference. The HC tells the front office who he wants and they make sure and sign the guy.
Been that way since year 1 of the 5 year plan. |

It is almost a cardinal sin if the Chiefs plays rookies...
