The Rookie Class

This rookie class may prove to be a very, very good one.

Jared Allen is developing into a fine DE
Sammie Parker shows tremendous speed AND hands
Kris Wilson has shown the talent to be a playmaker (in practice)
Siavii has shown promise as well

Don't forget my man Tynes.

You know I keep waiting for Wilson to show something. He has played sparingly the last 2 weeks but I don't think Trent has even looked at him.

LiL stumppy 12-25-2004 08:00 PM

Also maybe even Benny Sapp

Coach 12-25-2004 08:00 PM

Don't forget Parker by the way. He was clutch as well.

Allen is looking great, and I've been quite impressed with Parker these past couple of games.

I haven't seen a lot out of Siavii yet, but we all knew he was green coming in.

As for Wilson, I'm not ready to toss out superlatives yet since he's missed the entire year.

Fox has made a few good special teams plays, and hopefully Sampson will continue a good showing next year.

What about that Scanton guy. He's a keeper, right? I heard he was awesome on the internet.

Hammock Parties 12-25-2004 08:06 PM

I saw Wilson in there a couple times. I think perhaps he was key in getting Gonzo free.

These guys are our future nucleus, and it looks good. :thumb: This might end up being CP's greatest draft yet. Quite an irony, when you consider how he screwed our FA chances in the same year.

the appealing thing about Parker is that unlike Morton he hangs on to the ball

So does Morton. Parker has top end speed and quickness though.

Have to agree with the goat, drops have not been so glaring for Morton this year. The fact that he cannot get open is a definite weakness.
Allen will only get better, and won't have to look over at his shoulder for Vonnie Holliday. Aside from sucking, Holliday has a huge bonus next year he will never see.

Aside from needing a CB(maybe 2), a MLB(maybe an ILB or OLB), we need another DE opposite of Allen to close the noose on QB and smash him. I'm ready for a return of outstanding defensive play at Arrowhead...creating the kind of crowd noise that makes the place shake.

LiL stumppy 12-25-2004 09:34 PM

We need a solid CB,OLB,DE in that order.MLB is fine.Barber sucks and I havn't see any one good enough to take his spot.
