Why did the Royals sign Lima?
And, given that we did sign him, why is he pitching in our "Ace" slot? Seriouly, are we really going to run his sorry ass out there every fifth day? Gobble couldn't possibly suck this badly.

Lima will be good again in about 3 years.

1. He had two good years in a row.. not counting the last two crappy starts... 2. He is in the slot because, we wanted our best players at home... He could also handle getting rocked in the opener... detroit has some killer hitters... 3. Gobble would suck and not be able to bounce back.. Lima can bounce back... |
I guess to be a veteran leader/innings eater but he is basically a loss waiting to happen every 5th day right now. Maybe he turns it around but I don't have a lot of faith in that.
I would have rather seen Synder in the rotation. I thought he looked good in the spring. |
I didnt think it was a bad signing at all at the time and especially at the cheap price. I have never liked his stuff much but he has gotten decent results over the last two seasons.
Just keep you girlfriend away from him unless you want to risk shit festering on your johnson. |
I think mainly he is a good influence in the club house, something that was needed after last seasons pathetic showing.
|
Split was talking tonight about how his fastball and change were about the same speed right now. That is not a good sign.
|
And i thought after his last season with us after we didnt give him what he wanted he didnt have that good of things to say about the club.
His record last year was with the dodgers and they have the batters that we dont, if we wanted him to show the young guys how to act and so on why didnt we just hire him as a coach. He is a JOKE.............. CASHMAN. |

I see a Cisco +other guy ,forgot name + Gobble rotation to take his place.

By the way, what do you guys think about Andy Sisco so far? Think he can stay on the Royals' 25-man roster all year?

I would agree that there's little chance he comes back, just because it seems like the Royals can afford to keep one spot for a guy like that. Haven't seen him, but I was interested in the impressions of those who have.

The Royals wanted Paul Byrd, he went to LAA and we got "Herpes Time!".
