I can't believe what a phenomenon it's become.

We have a pokerleague up here... NWpokerleague.com. There are over 2000 people in the league, and the top 100 play in a "100 man" tournament for the right to win a $10,000 buy in at a WPT tournament at an Oregon casino.

Unfortunately, I got in late and am having to play catch-up. I've played five tournaments so far, and won two, so I'm doing alright... I'm ranked 245. If I can manage two more wins this month, I will make the cut.

I started playing within the last year... played online to get a feel for it. Then, I've played among friends 3-4 times the last 5 months.

It's fun and I can definitely see how people get addicted.

I like all cards, but pinochle is my game.

BlackJack is the game.
