Jets unloading Corner Backs

The ESPN2 ticker just ran a line that says that they have traded one CB and another is expected to retire. Are they looking for money for Law?

I think they would like to have kept Abraham, but now that he's decided to retire they are the frontrunner for Law IMO.

I would have to agree with that. I was a bit suprised that Abraham opted to retire, since he was still productive. He's one of the NFL's classiest performers.

Not sure how much money they'll recover, so we'll probably have to wait and see how that play out I guess.

Yup. Jets gave up a conditional 6th round for the 06' NFL Draft.

By the way, here was Abraham's salary, from ESPN.com

Abraham had three years remaining on his contract, at base salaries of $1.4 million (for 2005), $1.7 million (2006) and $2.1 million (2007).
