Andre Rison was the difference in a very mediocre game between the Raida's and the Bolts. Rison caught 4-5 balls and scored a TD with about 3:00 minutes to go putting the Raida's up for good. I thought he looked really good for them. RATS!

How was Leaf?

sun 09-03-2000 06:05 PM

leaf threw an int at the end of the game to seal it......was in and out of the game really got beat up

AZChief 09-03-2000 06:15 PM

Leaf's numbers were not impressive but he really battled physically all day. He threw 3 INTs and there could've been easily 2 or 3 more. However, I think even Raida fans were impressed with the way he hung in there. He was knocked out of the game 3 times. Once, his face and neck covered with blood from a cut on his chin.

The best thing that I liked about the Raider game was the crappy punting by Lechler and Jano blowing a 41 yarder.

donkhater,

Where did you get crappy punting by Lechler from???

He averaged over 4.5 in hangtime with distance and pinned the ball at the one...

I was impressed with Rison's willingness to go across the middle.

Upshaw is a dirty S.O.B. That late hit (helmet first) into Leaf's chin was cheap and could have caused serious damage. His checkbook will be 25k lighter by next week. What amazed me the most is that none of the Charger offensive linemen went after him. Leaf obviously doesn't have the respect of his team mates.

Didn't hit a 29-yarder? From what I saw he put plenty through the endzone from the 50 yard line.

donkhater 09-03-2000 06:52 PM

I guess when you punt 10 times, the bad ones don't seem as bad.

I can just hear the myopic Raider fans on JT's radio show tonight.

Because they pulled out a lucky win today, they will talking Division title or even more, Super Bowl.

No wonder people like to smack Oakland in the mouth. What a bunch of dreamers.

Problem is, they might be right. They have a whole bunch of crappy teams on their schedule. They can afford to play like crap and still eek out wins against crappy teams. We on the other hand cannot afford to make a single mistake with our schedule. We made way, way, way too many today, and a team like Indy is going to jump all over those mistakes...

DaKCMan AP 09-03-2000 07:12 PM

I watched the whole game, and Leaf physically battled while being beat up. What upset me, however, is how the classless Faider fans booed when Leaf went to the sideline after being attended to from injury.

2-0 in the fourth? At home? Mighty impressive...

If Rison is winning the game for you, I wouldn't be too excited...<BR>

hawaiianboy 09-03-2000 08:20 PM

stevieray,

I'd take a hard hitting, defensive 9-6 WIN any day over a 41-38 win, or a loss at home for that matter. Rison played well and SD is NOT a crappy team.

Some bitter folks here.

stevieray 09-03-2000 08:25 PM

I'm not bitter. If Rison was still a Chief, you would've been beat at home. I didn't say San Diego was a crappy team, but are they the caliber of the Colts? We stayed pretty even with a SB contender.

Good to be trading barbs with you...finally. http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/tongue.gif
