Missus just bought the tickets on Ebay as an early birthday present for me...around the 35 yard line, 5 rows above field level!

We got 4 tickets all together. We'll be going with a couple that we are good friends with - and who are diehard Dolphin fans! ROFL

Hope it turns out better than when we sent to see the Chiefs in Jax last year.... :cuss:

We don't play all that well in Florida...

Believe me, you don't have to remind me...You may not have noticed I live in Florida and I am surrounded by Dolphin, Jaguar, and Buc fans....

Unfortunately, I don't think I can make the trip home for the game :( I'll be out of town earlier that month and I'll have class on Friday and Monday. I made the short drive to Jax for last year's game, but the end result wasn't too good.

Man, we had great seats for that game (though not as good as these) and were also lucky enough to be sitting right next to some smokin' hot college girls from Missouri who were Chiefs fans...What a friggin' heartbreaker of a game to sit through...

I was around the 5 yard line about 20 rows up. I remember when Trent dumped the ball to Priest, avoiding the sack, and Priest taking it in for the score. When the Jags challenged it and the ref was reviewing it I was just standing up with my arms raised in the TD position, celebrating. However, once Tynes missed the extra point and then the FG and Jax got the ball back, I knew it was over.

Believe it or not, when Tynes missed the extra point (even before the missed FG) I turned to one of those college girls and said "That was the friggin' game right there....I can just feel it"....

I plan on going to that game too. It will be my birthday also. This will be my first away game, so I am pretty pumped. I haven't gotten tickets yet or a hotel reserved but at least it is still early.

The only time I went to Miami was in 2001 and I stayed there 6 days. I had a ball the whole time I was there except for one incident right before I left. Our plane wasn't leaving until 6am, so we checked out of our hotel early and decided to pass the time at a strip club before we went to the airport. This stripper noticed that my friend was wearing his Rams jersey talking about how good they were and how they always beat everyone. I told her they can't handle the Chiefs. She started saying, "the chiefs? Who the he** are the chiefs? Who do they have?" She then started saying how the Dolphins are going to crush the Chiefs when we play them.

It was like a month later when the Dolphins came to Arrowhead and we beat the brakes off them. I couldn't stop thinking about the stripper and how I bet she knows, "Who the he** are the Chiefs" now...


PS. The only thing I plan on doing different on this trip to Miami is I plan to get a hotel ON south beach instead of getting a cheap one in Homestead, which is a suburb south of Miami, kind of like Grandview is to Kansas City. So if you plan to spend most of your Miami time on South Beach anyway, you may want to just get a room there too. Most things will be walking distance, you probably will save a bunch on car rentals, you won't have to deal with toll booths, and NO DRUNK DRIVING :)

You also won't have to leave the club at 8:am dying to get some sleep, use your last ounce of energy to walk 30 minutes to where you parked your rental car, find out your car has been towed, and then find out you have to walk five more miles to the tow truck place, like it happened to me :(

When I first saw your thread title I thought you were going on that awesome Miami package that Chiefs Travel is offering.

Since I live in Florida we'll probably just rent a hotel room for a couple of nights...Either stay Saturday and Sunday, or Sunday and Monday...We haven't thought that out yet...
