TMQ mentions the Chiefs
http://nfl.com/news/story/8841434
By Gregg Easterbrook Is There a "D" in Kansas City?: Hometown spectators groaned when Jersey/B scrubs scored a touchdown with 29 seconds remaining at Arrowhead, making the final an impressive Chiefs 27, Jets 7. That ended a chance for the first Kansas City shutout since the Beatles were together. Best Blocks: William Green of the Cleveland Browns (3.0b) clocked two men way downfield on Frisman Jackson's 68-yard touchdown. Half a dozen Dolphins, including quarterback Gus Frerotte, got way downfield to block on Chris Chambers' 61-yard reverse run. Kansas City blew out Jersey/B in part because the Chiefs once again displayed the league's best offensive line. Willie Roaf and Brian Waters short-pulled left to lead the way for Larry Johnson's 35-yard touchdown on the opening possession. No Jet ever touched Johnson. It's pretty fun to run 35 yards for a touchdown when everyone in front of you has already been knocked to the ground. Sorry if a repost. |

This was sweet:
Stats of the Week No. 9 : Denver has 12 first-round draft choices on its roster, tops in the league, and lost its opener by 24 points. |

I predict a media slobber-fest if the Chiefs beat the Raiders on Sunday night.

Next will be the Raiders were "over-hyped" after we beat em week 2. Then the Broncos will be "huge disappointments" when we beat them on their home field on MNF to send them to 0-3. And finishing off the 1st Qtr of 2005 will be Philly with the "Super Bowl Loser Jinx". We could go 4-0, and still have the media making excuses that the other guys didn't get it done. And I am just fine with that! |
