Gotta share this!!

my youngest boy is 12 years old and playing Junior league football this year for the first time. He played his third game of the season today. His position is left cornerback and weighs about 85 pounds with his equipment on. Little guy ya know. Today they were getting ripped by this team around the outside the whole game and finally they let my boy play in the second half. The opposing team ran a reverse around the outside and my boy flat out leveled their 1st string RB and the blocker in front of him, it was AWESOME!!!! Not just a tackle but a lift and flip tackle. TOTALLY WICKED!!!!
Tomorrow they play the Monroe Panthers at Qwest Stadium in the pregame of the Seahawks game when they take on the Cardinals. Although I detest the Seahawks from years gone by, I am amped for the little guys. GO CRUISERS!!!!

A little guy can have a big toughness about him. Nasty gentleman.

What time does the pre-game show start?

When my son was about that age he played defensive end. In the last game of the year, near the end of the game he came in and leveled the QB. The QB fumbled the ball and he picked it up and came 5 yards from getting into the end Zone. The best part was that the QB was still on the ground and they asked if there was a Doctor in the stands. That was a proud moment. The kid got up after about 10 minutes and walked off the field. I don't even remember if they won the game.

Pregame starts at 11:15. They are taking part in the National Anthem along side the Seahawks on the field as well. It will be great!! That is one other thing to add to the story, The RB didn't get up for about 5 minutes. He hurt his arm in the destruction my son layed upon him.
Of course your enthusiasm for a your kids great hit needs to be subdued when the other kid is flat on his back ballin' his head off but it couldn't erase the smile from my face. Sorry couldn't do it, I tried.

my kid could kick your kids ass.

You're part of the problem.

The problem of overzealous parents in peewee football. You're trying to live your life vicariously through your small child.

Nope. Just glad to see my son learn on the field in a team environment what it takes to listen, react and make decisions, know the value of comrodary(sp), and having fun. If he makes a great play I do feel like "That's my boy!!!" And when he is on stage in a play at school and he has a lot of lines to remember at pulls it off perfectly I still think "That's my boy!!
Not overzealous, he's the third string CB and has practiced the least because he signed up five weeks after everyone else. I'm just proud of him and his accomplishments. Not mine.

I'm pretty impressed with your ability to judge what type of parent he is simply by reading two paragraphs on a BB.
