Why are coaches so stupid?
 

Dallas deserved to lose this game. With two minutes left, and 4th and 1 from the 50, you punt? Unless you believe you chances of making are less than 50/50, you have to go for it. I have to believe the chances are a lot better than 50/50.

They rely too much on that stupid percentages sheet.

You can question the decision to punt, but most coaches will punt in that situation.

The 3rd down play call was what was really stupid.

Bill Parcells is their head coach, he's a defensive guy. He is never going to go for it in that spot.

Plus Denver probably would've put 8 or 9 guys in the box. They'd been owning Dallas' O-line all day...

It was the idiotic play calling prior to the punt that cost them the damn game.

They were getting stuffed in the running game left and right. They prob dont get it.

They should have thrown it to a wide-open Witten on a release.

Run the same damn play that they did on the TD on 4th and 1. It's 1 yard, not 2-3. I still contend the chances of making it are over 50%...I say close to 75%.

I dont think you will find too many coaches who will go for it in that situation. The risk is just too high. If you fail, youve basically conceded at least a FG with only mins to go.

Shouldnt have called that quick pass to the wide out like that. That was just a bad call.

Conversely, if you make it, you basically win the game...so it all comes down to the probability of making it......

Actually, wasn't it the missed 35 yard field goal that cost them the game?
