Dalton released from jail

Chiefs player charged with domestic violence

By BRAD COOPER The Kansas City Star

A defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs was arrested early today and charged with domestic battery for an alleged physical altercation with his estranged wife, authorities said.

Lional Dalton, 30, is accused of grabbing his estranged wife by the hair and pulling her down, said Johnson County District Attorney Paul Morrison. He was released from jail on a $2,500 bond. Dalton is barred from contacting his estranged wife for 72 hours. He’s scheduled in court next week.

The charge Dalton is facing is a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to six month in prison and a $1,000 fine if convicted.

Dalton’s attorney, Kevin E.J. Regan, said his client plans to plead not guilty. Regan declined comment on the facts of the case. He said he would investigate the matter with “due diligence” and handle it in the appropriate manner.

Dalton’s estranged wife was in town from Florida for the holiday when the incident was reported, Morrison said.

Dalton, who signed a two-year contract as a free agent with the Chiefs last year, was arrested at his Stilwell residence about 1:40 a.m. today, according to Johnson County jail records

Man, when you split, why the **** do you let them come to town and spend time with you?!?!

That just upped his season tackle count by 11 percent.

Legal notice: Rain Man in no way condones, overlooks, or disregards the serious nature of domestic violence, and attributes this incident to the fact that all of the Bronco has not yet been removed from Dalton's personality.

I'm sure the femmies will hate me, but you men have it rough.

Grabbing her hair and pulling her down?

Thats not what men do when they're trying to hurt you.

Could be another instance like LJ with the ex stalking you and then causing trouble with your new girlfriend.

Don't deflect. It's impolite. :p

What you said was, and I quote, "Grabbing her hair and pulling her down?

So, what do men want when they grab you by the hair and pull you down. What's that mean exactly? We men need a woman's point of view on this so we have a solid defense, should that happen to us and we end up in the gray bar motel.

As much as I hate to say this, I was thinking the same thing.

Scenario: She comes all the way from FL, starts bitchin about wantin money, he tells her to get bent and she gets pissed off and files a complaint against him for this "alleged" incident.

Great another woman beater on the Chiefs, I am not so sure the charachter of this team is any better than it was under Marty or Gun.

That's "alleged" woman beater. Innocent until proven guilty and all that jazz.

The police pretty much don't take a person in unless the physical assault is not in doubt. This does not mean the prosecutor will obtain a conviction. I understand the difference. OJ was found not guilty as well as you know.
