Will Herm get another head coaching gig?

Herm is going into a tough situation coming into coach a 10-6 team. Looking at the facts including the age of the roster, the cap situation, etc, realistically Herm has one year to field a winning/superbowl team here in KC before having to rebuild and face multiple losing seasons and even then even with good coaching it's gonna take a lot not to regress in that one season considering new defenses and loss of offensive coordinators, age of roster etc.. That means most likely when CP leaves in 4 or 5 years (or whatever), Herm will either already be gone or leave too...and when he leaves he will look like a total failure regressing after inheriting a 10-6 football team.

What will peopel be saying in 4 or 5 years about Herman Edwards?

Remember though the Chiefs don't rebuild under Peterson, they re-load for making a run at 9-7 finishes.

And I'll be saying the same thing 4-5 years from now that I'm saying about Herm now... he's an average coach that is way too conservative and his mediocre in his game/clock mgt.

I think if he were smart he would be better served to take a look at some of the other head coaching opportunities out there. Not that I know if those teams would part with a 5th and 6th or whatever, but inheriting a young Detroit Lions football team, even with Millen, certainly has the potential of making his resume look better 4 or 5 years down the road then inheriting the geriatric 53 man roster of the Kansas City Chiefs. The same could be said of multiple other head coaching opportunities out there, such as those in Minnesota, Houston, and even St Louis.

4 or 5 years as a HC is a career in the NFL.

But whoever comes better win now, cause the cap could explode in a couple years.

I thank him for that, I was very sick of the 18 years of rebuilding prior to him arriving on the seen.
