John Clayton: Al Saunders near the top of Minnesota's list
 

John Clayton on Metro Sports now and he says that Al Saunders' interview with the Vikings went very well and if he's not #1 on their list currently he is right up there with Brad Childress.

Also he still isn't sure the Herm to KC thing will get done and he says the ball is really in the Jets court, whether they are going to fire him outright or not.

But if Saunders ends up going to Minnesota or another job, it could increase the urgency from the Chiefs perspective to get a deal done for Herm since, according to Clayton Saunders and Herm are at the top of the Chiefs' list.

I read Childress will be introduced as Vikings coach tomorrow. My guess is Saunders ends up in St. Louis or Detroit.

I don't know about St. Louis, I think they'll hire a coach with a defensive background.

childress is the minny man :) Saunders is now trying the Texans.

Houston wants him for sure.

I hope that KC will keep Saunders as HC, or somehow magically as OC, but he would be an excellent fit for either Detroit or Houston.

He said that about Al's interview with Carl Peterskin Tuesday.

I've heard Kubiak is the favorite for the Houston job.

Considering ESPN is reporting that Childress will accept the Vikings job, thats one team down that Saunders interviewed for but didn't get...
