I just paid the doctor

to tell me to avoid the stress of work and that I was drinking too much, smoking too much, eating all the wrong things and that I should start a new exercise program.

I could've saved myself $75 but all in all it beats the alternative of hearing really bad news.

a Real Dr. Would have Written an RX for Marinol

I went to the doc today too. I have bronchitis. Lungs and throat are really sore. They gave me 5 different scripts, $100 in meds, and I have health insurance! God knows how much it would have been if I didn't.

Still coughing up furballs, but I should be OK by Wed.

Yes, but can he spell "weighs"?

I rarely get sick but when I do I just rest a lot and drink a lot of fluids and I'm well in two weeks. If I go to the doctor, he gives me shots and prescribes a lot of pills and it costs a lot of money and I'm well in 14 days.

He wanted to know my thoughts on taking an RX for high cholesterol so I told him I'd do my best to cut back on the munchies.

I almost pop $8 on Sat. and bought this report I saw advertised on Newsmax.com. The report was alledgely about how the pharm. companies are basically telling the medical community where everyone's cholesterol level should be to sell more drugs. It supposedly also had a section about how a too low cholesterol level is actually more dangerous than cholesterol that was too high.

FWIW I leery of those cholesterol drugs because they supposedly damage the liver.

Dammit, at first I typed "my doctor's wait is at least 280" and then I was like oops I spelled weight wrong, and then when I rewrote it I fugged it up again :banghead:

Nzoner 01-24-2006 01:00 PM

My doctor has told me all the same things. Do they know how boring life is without food, beer, and smoke?

I've been on Lipitor for the last 6 years and have had no side effects. I'm sure if I drank to much that would be a totally different story...
