So, I was listening to 610 a few minutes ago. Teicher was talking about the draft and he basically point blank said the Chiefs would draft a WR with their first pick.

If the right guys is there, I don't have a problem with that.

Has he given a reason as to why we would look offense instead of defense in the first round?

I'd probably strangle Adam Teicher regardless of what he said.

I don't care as long as they address the D-Line in free agency.

It's better than him saying we would draft a TE with the 1st overall pick.

WR and OT are our greatest needs.

Tiecher doesn't know shit, no way we get a WR in the 1st. 1st day probably, 1st rd no way.

They'll probably draft the best available athlete, just like they do most years.

How did Teicher get this " inside information" about who KC is going to draft.

He said "WR on this team has been neglected to long, it's time to upgrade that position".

All I want is the best player available regardless of position. If it is a WR so be it. The worst thing to do in the draft is reach because of need.

Santonio Holmes is the only WR worth drafting at 20, and even then I'd want OT, Saftey or D-Line first.

There is some kind of disconnect between sports media and the sports world concerning the draft. Most NFL teams draft the best player first, and for need second, yet most mock drafts seem to be based on need. It's a small wonder that mocks are close to useless.

Bob Dole was just commenting last night that Carl and Co. have such a gift for spotting talent at the defensive tackle position, that we most definitely should take a DT in the first round this year.
