Munich (the movie) a question?
 

Recommendations please? I have been procrastinating on going to the theatre to see it since it is such a long movie at nearly 2 hours and 45 minutes.

What do people who have seen it think?

I absolutely loved it. But I really like Spielberg when he gets all serious. If you didn't like Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan, probably should skip it.

I liked Saving Private Ryan, never went to the theatre to see Schindler's list. I heard it was completely in B&W and could not get myself to go.

That's sad. Schindler's List is Spielberg's masterpiece. But Munich is very enjoyable.

Munich is more of a political action/thriller.

Someday they will show it on a DTV movie channel and I will record it and watch it. I just really dislike B&W movies and cannot bring myself to pay to see one.

How was the new James Bond in it? Did he look at all Bondish?

Don't tell me you haven't seen Casablanca? There are movies that HAVE to be in B&W.

Craig? Meh... not very Bondish. It'll be a stretch accepting a blonde, gritty Bond.

You notice I said pay to see. I have watched tons of old movies on television that are in B&W. I don't really enjoy B&W but if it is free and of quality I will watch it.

I am the heretic amongst you that prefer colorized versions of movies even classics such as "It's a Wonderful Life":shrug:

It's funny you say that. We used to watch the colorized version every Christmas, and we'd turn the color down on the TV to make it black and white again. (owned a VHS copy)

Don't need to see that movie. As a kid, I was sickened that those Israeli athletes got killed. Only Jim Mckay could have communicated the travesty was the way that it was.
