To date the bosses daughter or to not....

That is the question. Here's the sit rep.

My boss (who also happens to own the company I work for), took me to Mazatlan, Mexico with his daughter and girlfriend last week. The daughter is 24 years old, I'm 39. The rooms were double occupancy so she and I shared a room for the week. By the second night, we became inseparable. And by night 3 we were firmly in the grasps of falling in love in the Mexican oasis. Night 3 was spent laughing and drinking for hours and hours. I was on quit the comedic roll that night. This was the night we first shared a bed. We spent that night talking and falling asleep in each others arms. Day 4 our driver (we had a personal driver) drove us around Mazatlan all day and well into the night, stopping by some very romantic settings over looking the gulf and the city. We left at about 11AM and he returned us to our hotel around 3AM. This is the night we crossed the point of no return (if you know what I mean). Day 5 we never left the room. Her dad did check up on us from time to time but we had a good plan in motion. We kept both beds looking like they were being used. But we did make one small mistake. Once when he came by the room, (I was in the shower), we forgot to put the other two pillows on the vacant bed. Good thing he didn't notice, or perhaps he did, I don't know. We never went anywhere without the other. We sat next to each at dinner, in the car, on the plane, everywhere. We never showed any PDA, but we sure wanted to.

Now we are back home and all 3 of us live within a few blocks from one another. The bad part is I can't drive to her house without driving past his and his house has a ton of windows. Last night I went there for dinner and dear 'ol dad shows up. There is no way of hiding this affair.

I'm pretty sure he feels it was just a week in Mexico that made us feel this way and that it will pass. He hasn't spoken to either of us about it yet. As a matter of fact he said he wants to take me again next year.

Now here's the kicker, his daughter and I are also co-workers. Yep, not only is she my bosses daughter, she is also an office manager. He has an unwritten policy that forbids inner office dating. (at least that's what she said). I have worked for him for 8 years and I’ve yet to see or read a policy or memo that states I can’t do the help.

I’m sure I’ll get an ear full sooner or later.

Sounds like your boss wants to get rid of you. Now it is only a matter of whether he fires you or blows you away with a shotgun.

Oh. I thought you were talking about a Palm.

Anyway, do you think that the father has a rather good idea that you two got involved? He'd have to be rather dim not to, right? If so, perhaps you should ask him what he thinks about it.

He has a 'girlfriend' of approximately the same age as his daughter?

Nice...LOL

Bad idea. You are probably going to have to pick between the daughter and the job....

Nothing says you couldn't leave the job, marry the daughter and, after establishing a stable and solid relationship.....come back to the job, if "Dad" wants you back. To do both, now though.....there's just too much room for problems.....

He has to know and I've mentioned bringing it up to him first and she has stopped that idea everytime.

His girlfriend is around my age.

Oh. Was this just a fling for her? You know, "fucking the help," for lack of a better term?

Best case scenario: You get married and inherit the company.

Worst case scenario:You put your future on the line in kootchie junction.

ArrowheadHawk 03-08-2006 03:18 PM
