If you could equip the US Military from any historic war with modern weapons...
...which one would it be?
I always thought the Revolutionary war would be a good one. I don't know why though. |
Redcoats in an open field with tremendous site lines... at least the red coats would hide the blood stains.

Given the way the British liked “civilized” neat and tidy line fronts (term?) on the battlefield a couple .50 cal sniper rifles would have made a big difference or how about a couple of Trident Subs so their troops never made it to the war.
You need to put some checks on that scenario, too many possibilities. |
The Texas Revolution.... Bowie and Crockett with about 15 .30 cals on top of the Alamo.... backed up by a bunch of snipers..... maybe toss in a Blackhawk or an A-10..... good times.....

I would not want to give our Military Antiquated Equipment, Muskests in Iraq Does not sound like a good idea

Tactical nuclear weapons in the civil war. No wait... that's not a very good idea. :shake:

WWI with modern weapons could've changed the world. We could've gotten lucky and killed Hitler and millions of lives would've been saved.

Hell, throw in modern day weapons for the Allies around 1942, and you have a whole new world today.

A squadron of F/A 22s at Pearl or Wake; imagine those birds going up against the Zeros - they'd never even know we were there. I imagine the PGMs would make quick work of air craft carriers as well...maybe throw in a couple of B-2s.

i was thinking the war of 1812, where we pretty much got our asses kicked (until after the war was officially over, at new orleans)...
and maybe korea, since we didn't do so good there after the red chinese intervened... |
