Do you know of any Axis and Allies style games that are based on the Civil War?

I like the Axis and Allies board game. I know it is also online. I've not checked that out yet.

Do you know of any other Axis and Allies style board games?

Anybody ever play the game snuff the weasel?

I see that Axis and Allies has been revised. They've added new rules, destroyers and artillery. I think I might pick up a new copy. Has anyone had any experience with the new updated version?

I used to play stratego. Haven't seen that one in a while.

I hear snuff the weasel has some new rules since the old days when it was called smear the queer. I hear you can not only pile on like the old days but you can actually kick the crap out of them when their down now. You will have bring your football to the next tailgate GF and give it a shot.

We played a modified version of this called "kill the guy with the ball, especially if he is a little effeminate looking because that little Timmy boy has very fair skin and blonde hair and I think I saw him kissing a boy last Summer" and it was a blast for the whole neighborhood. Well...Timmy used to complain a lot but he was queer. After a while we just went back to playing "Smear The Queer" but we called it something different at school.

I remember people would get wasted playing that game but they never stopped us. The effeminate kids would not even get close to the football field. I'll tell you this much one recess playing that is probably more of a workout than most of these fat little ****ers get these days in an entire month.

I'm not familiar with any good Civil War era board games at all, really.

Axis and Allies has many variants, but I'm only used to take-offs on the normal rules, not the introduction of wholly new units. I believed WoTC (Wizards of the Coast) bought out Hasbro or whoever, and is pushing the old games like A&A again, so I wouldn't be surprised if they modified/updated it.

The other two games that Milton Bradley or Hasbro or whoever put out along with A&A were Fortress America and some kind of Samurai game. Fortress America was pretty good, but in some ways inherently frustrating. I never played the Samurai thing.

A good tabletop game that you might like is Wooden Ships and Iron Men.

There, of course, many board an computer games which are more advanced than A&A with regard to building production and turning it into military units. The rules tend to get more and more complex.

A civil war game that includes Nazis and Fascists? Hmmm....none come to mind...

When I was in College, we used to get really wasted and play "Nuclear War". This was extremely intense, and sadly, all to applicable to today's world:

Heh, I had to go home from school once playing that because I got kicked in the nuts so hard in a pile that I could barely walk anymore. Still kept playing after the soreness went away in a few days.
