Wishing all a happy and safe 4th of July. I invite those who are so inclined to join me in thinking of our servicemen in harm's way as we enjoy our frosty beverages and BBQ, and hoping for their return to be safe and soon.

I can only imagine how many badasses will be out tonight with their bottle rockets and Confederate Flags.

I'll never understand the firework fetish this country has. They're loud, obnoxious, dangerous, predictable, and rid any chance of me sleeping between the hours of 9pm and 4am.

Oh well. I love this country. Happy 4th everybody. Don't forget to thank a Founding Father.

Absolutely. without vets, how many domesticated animals die each year? I can cite 2 instances where a vet saved my dog's life.

Sounds like you don't drink then. Fireworks get exponentially more badass with the increase in number of drinks.

Nope, can't say that I do. It seems like adding in alcohol would greatly increase the chances of blowing your hand off. Then again, 40 percent of firework injuries are children 14 and younger.

Have you ever made a sparkler bomb. Duct tape a bunch of them together and one fuse out the top. Put in the freezer for a few hours to increase the loudness. Light that shit up and it's pretty much like a stick of dynamite so watch where you place it. One of the loudest bangs you will hear. It's fantastic.
