Do you think the author read some Lobo comics before he wrote that song?

Probably not, as it's based on old Japanese arcana. The song being "42 49" by Japanese metal band Sigh.

The band had to stop touring, though. After they released the song, the lyrics writer was mysteriously struck down by a bolt of lightning.

I can personally attest that this did not happen. I just talked to Mr. Mirai electronically the other day. He is alive and well.
