WTF is it, and how do I use it? I've been talked into doing more with my myspace profile, but I have no clue how to add the color and graphics. I have to use HTML, but I'm clueless as to what that is.

In the MySpace sense, HTML is a basic set of codes that you can use to change how your text looks. You can also use it to insert graphics.

A friend of mine went to some special page where you can design the look you want. It creates the HTML, and you just copy and paste that into your About Me section. Whadduya think of mine? Too "busy"?

Eh, I'm no one to offer much of an opinion when it comes to the acutal design. I would say, though, that you'll want to find a font color that sticks out more if you want to keep that background. It's kinda hard to read. :D

I don't want to go pink, and yellow would be too hard on the eyes. Purple maybe? I really like the background picture. I just wish i could find it in a scale to gray type of thing. I could save the pic and do it, but it's got to be a url.

Above all, TEXT READABILITY. Busy backgrounds are sooo 1995, not to mention will only piss off the viewer trying to decipher the words. I've been doing this for a living for years now. Really, the best results are either Arial or Times-New Roman text against a plain white background, with a few tasteful images and graphics. If you must use animated gifs (grrr!), make it only one very small one per page.

There are sites on the web that can give you simple HTML tutorials. Just learning some basic tags would help tremendously.

Not sure if this is what you meant by "scale to gray," but I lowered the contrast and brightened it up quite a bit. You should be able to use fairly dark colors over this:

Can't see it since I'm at work, but in myspace, there's no such thing as too busy. Heck, if you can read the text with your current background, some might say you need to change your background :p
