I always thought that would make a great movie. Never heard of that older one. I'll have to watch it.

Ok, after watching the trailer I hope they don't hollywoodize it up too much. I don' know how accurate the novel is but just telling it like it was would be the better route imo.

This movie isn't based on the old 300 spartans movie, it's based on the graphic novel "300" by the legendary Frank Miller.

I had a class last semester, "Cinema and Ancient History." It was a great class. Tuesdays we would meet at the Tivoli and watch a movie (Gladiator, O Brother Where Art Thou, 300 Spartans old versian of Electra, Spartacus... etc) and the Thursdays we would discuss the historical content, backgfround, making of the movie, contemporary politics...etc.

I'm sorry if it looked like I was saying it was.

It's Frank Miller, so it's not necessarily going to be historically accurate. But either was the earlier version of the story. It's going to be very creative and very over the top. But it still looks cool as hell.

What I was wondering, was how KEG got his guy so powerful in the first place.

Already seen a rough cut a couple months ago. NDAs prevent me from discussing beyond saying it is very, very good. :)

I'm resurrecting this because I saw a March 9th release date. Oh, and it'll be offered in IMAX too. This might be the most eager I've ever been for a movie.

Probably the coolest looking movie in atleast 10 years, this is one that MUST be seen on the bigscreen.
