Its not KCTV5, its CBS. Fox shows all of its games in HD (I believe), but CBS only broadcasts its national games in HD. The last few weeks, the Chiefs have been the regional game, not the national one, and that's why you haven't seen them in HD.

low budget

What's the point? Everyone knows that KC fans spend all their money on Camaros and mullet-grooming toiletries.

Simply Red 11-07-2006 07:33 PM

Same thing that happened to Kevin Harlan calling games, I'm guessing.

It's about facilities. CBS only has space to house enough HD equipment to show 3 games in HD per week in its cramped NY HQ. But this is the last year. Next year the NFL has in its contract that all NFL games must be available in HD.

CBS = cheap bastards

You know KC vs Miami won't be HD this week either.

Again, what's the point?

Bob Dole is saving up for a new spoiler for the 1972 Camaro. There's no extra money for an HD receiver.

I'm 99% sure it's more a function of the HD production truck availability at the stadium sites. It really does not take much to pass HD on the studio side. And for the most part, the networks don't own those trucks, specialty production companies lease them to the networks.

I thought it was because the StLouis fans said we're all a bunch of Deliverance hicks and they figured why waste the extra money when we are watching on a 9" B/W TV with rabbit ears in our sister/wife's trailer.
