Well we FINALLY have a new President. Thank god it isn't Gore. Anyway here's to a very prosperous 4 years (hopefully 8).

Congrats George W. Bush

morphius 01-20-2001 11:10 AM

Another forgettable President gone. I still realyy can't think of anything he really accomplished as president.

JOhn 01-20-2001 11:15 AM

Morph,
Got a question for ya...Was it my selective vision, or did Clinton go directly to the 19y/o twins first? lol

aww well maybe I'm being mean, but he just brings the best out in me :)

BTW Nice speach Mr Bush.

ck_IN 01-20-2001 12:12 PM

Goodbye and good riddance!

Exits the most currupt president in US history.

Frazod 01-20-2001 12:17 PM

Beat it, weasel. Try not to spend all your pension on lawyers, rubbers and viagra.

waKCo 01-20-2001 12:26 PM

Lucky for you guys Clinton couldn't run again or he would be in for another 4.

I have a feeling Dubya is going to give us some really funny slip up since he's a dufus.

Brock 01-20-2001 12:28 PM

What if the economy goes in the tank, as it did under Bush 1?

alanm 01-20-2001 12:31 PM

I gotta admit though. I'm gonna miss the "Billy Bubba Show" at least you have to admit he wasn't boring. The man definetly had balls.

Brock 01-20-2001 12:44 PM

And somewhere, there's a blue dress to prove it.

morphius 01-20-2001 12:47 PM

Brock - You mean when the economy went south after the democratic congress raised taxes? I don't think that will happen again for a while.

waKCo 01-20-2001 12:47 PM

LOL

Brock 01-20-2001 12:49 PM

morphius - You mean that tax increase that George 1 said he would never agree to?

morphius 01-20-2001 12:56 PM

Brock - Yeah, i'm talking about the one the Democrats forced on him because they would not sign a budget without one.

Brock 01-20-2001 02:07 PM

You are telling me he couldn't have vetoed the budget? So much for standing firm in your convictions, I guess. The president has the power that no member of congress has, and that is to take his case to the people. If Bush 1 felt that the tax increase was such a bad thing, he could have called for one of his "fireside chats", and named names.

All this aside, I will be very interested to see what happens now that 1 party is more or less in the drivers seat.

morphius 01-20-2001 02:11 PM

Brock - We had that the first two years of Clinton, all democrats in all houses, and the American people were so upset that they voted the bastages out.

I guess Bush could have not got anything he wanted in the budget and caused a gov't shutdown like some other President. Then sign the almost exactly the same bill and pay all the employees for not working.
