Is it finally time? 1st round QB?

I am way impressed with Brian Brohm from Louisville. Is it time to make the move? One year behind Trint?

siberian khatru 12-17-2006 08:23 PM

Brodie Croyle?

KC kid 12-17-2006 08:26 PM

Brodie Croyle is not the answer. There is a big difference between a 7th QB in a draft and a 2nd qb in a draft. Croyle just does not have what it takes. Sorry.

No. We need to improve our offensive and defensive lines, then upgrade at WR. Trent will be a serviceable QB for another year or two, we can't afford to blow our wad on a QB now and neglect all of our other needs.

I like Brohm. Also if Troy Smith is available in the 2nd I'd be fine with that too.

KC kid 12-17-2006 08:29 PM

I tend to agree with needing to build the lines. However, I would be furious if we draft a WR in the first round. WRs are just not at a premium like other positions. I would be ok with any of these positions.

LT
DT
QB
CB

I am not a big troy smith guy. He is a product of the talent around him.

How the fuck do you that? You the guy hasn't been given a chance.

KC kid 12-17-2006 08:43 PM

I know Croyle is not the answer because of my two eyes. It is pretty obvious to me.

how man games has he started? I bet you were one the guys who wanted to yank Green in his first season in KC

ILChief 12-17-2006 08:51 PM

i think it's time to see what Croyle's got. and if he isn't the guy then yes we need a new QB.

so what was it when he was handing off in the 4th quarter when we were beating SF 41-0 or when we were getting beat by 100 points vs. PIT when everyone in the world knew we would be passing every play makes you think he's not the answer?

KC kid 12-17-2006 08:59 PM

His footwork sucks, he does not seem to have the makeup/intelligence to get the job done, and he is too frail to stay healthy.

slow release also

obviously, you have no idea what you are talking about this conversation is over

BigVE 12-17-2006 09:03 PM

I was thinking about this today as well, anyone other than Brohm or Quinn wouldnt do us any good because they would NEVER get to play.
