should i...
...boss wants me to work on new years eve. i have tix to the jax game, and probably won't be able to talk if i go. should i go to game, or work?
Do you need money?
Lets see .... work or go tailgate and watch a football game for an afternoon .... gee I wonder :hmmm: :p
go to work and give me the tickets at a prize rate, so my wife and I can go to arrowhead this year.
eff the boss...he's got 4days to train someone else to flip the damn burgers.
sec |
plus I had to work when the Chiefs came to St. Louis, I hated that, but I gave the tickets to a st. louis fan, and what helped me get through the game was the thought that someone was enjoying themselves
actually i wait tables, not a cook. i'm getting ready to start a new job, and i hate my present one, so i'm on your line of thinking sec.

almost as good as being there to rub it in their faces, but still put a smile on my face :) |
as much as i hate to admit it, i could see all the pieces falling just right, and missing a game that puts us in the playoffs. ala "fever pitch"
I'd think a waiter with a wife might need the money more than the freezing arse at the game....but you've already got the tickets.
Find someone to switch, pick up a shift and have the best of both worlds. Ding! Fries are Done Ding! Fries are Done... Listen for the bell listen for the bell would you like an apple pie with thaaaaaaaat.... |
i will NEVER work in fast food. i have enough exprience if i have to i can get almost any waiting job i wanted. not that i want any of them.
I assume the boss didn't even talk to you about this until today. In that case...
"Sorry bossman, I have plans already. Find some other schmuck to work it or work it your own self." |
