Shall we reopen the T.O. question?

I'm afraid to. Still tired of it from last year.
Also, rumors that Moss could be available.

I know what you're thinking, "Why would we need to? We have ROD GARDNER!"

:shake:

The bigger issue here is, who's going to want to attract all that unecessary attention that can cause a distraction?

I sure as hell wouldn't touch T.O.

No. We should not.

I've always been a TO supporter. Meaning that if Herm felt he could work with TO, then I'd love to have him here, though I wouldn't want CP to force it on Herm (ala Jerry Jones in Dallas).

That said, I've reached a point where I think that TO is actually crazy. I don't think his conduct will ever be predictable. I always assumed that whoever had him would get 1 good season out of him. I was wrong.

The physical talent is there...but his head is so far gone there's just no way.

Oh, Hell no.

RedandGold 01-01-2007 07:42 AM

Going into this season, I thought that TO's talent was worth the baggage, but my opinion has definitely changed on the subject.

Before, I saw his antics as being the result of an over-inflated ego, but now, I believe that he has legitimate mental health issues. No amount of coaching is going to fix those kinds of problems.

Moss would probably be a better choice, but I just don't see him fitting in from a team chemistry standpoint.

TO.. NO.... MOSS.. NEVER....

Nail. On. Head. At this level, the physical talent is (for the most part) all in the same neighborhood. It comes down to attitude and the "head" on the individual. TO clearly has serious mental issues. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that they though TO was possibly insane. IIRC the 49ers actually attempted to get him to see a psychologist when he was playing in SF.

I would HONESTLY rather put Gilligan at #1 WR.
