What should one do when asked for permission to search your vehicle?

Lock all the doors and smoke away.

They can't shoot you for smoking in your car.

ASK FOR A WARRANT

But if they have probably cause can't they do it anyway? Like if smoke is rolling out of Skip's car windows and he laughs at their hats?

Do not offer SNaRc a ride.

Both times I've been asked I told them speeding had nothing to do with searching.

I was asked once and I don't have any clue why as I don't do anything. My response was "sorry sir but I respectfully decline."
He didn't press the issue.

Keep in mind that if nothing is in plain sight, then officers don't have the right to search. Also, if you consent to a search, you have the right to end the search whenever you want.

Obviously, if you have marijuana or any other drug, do NOT give consent for a search. The officer will then start stalling, asking questions and snooping around. No matter what they say, do not give consent. Just say you aren't hiding anything, and want your rights respected.

How about not speeding while you're carrying drugs, Bam?

They can't forcibly search it until they have a warrant. However they may be able to impound the vehicle until they get one.

yea if there is smoke pouring out the car then your fogged(unless you've smoked all the evidence and your not driving just stationary with no keys in ignition)...or even if your vehicle smells like ms. jane they have probable cause(ive had my car searched for it smelling like it)

How about speeding and doing drugs at the same time, Bam?

this is why i smoke blunts...me and my friends just smoke blunts and never carry anything on us besides the blunt so we could just throw it away

the smoke pouring out is more than enough to cause a search
