Crap - was supposed to be public and multiple choice. I feel like body-slamming somebody now.

I've never watched a wrestling match. It's stupid.

Dude, you're wrestling's target demographic - mid-20's virgins living in Mom's basement. Get on the ball, Bobba Fett.

I think I am most impressed by their ability to do this crap every week. Seriously, what kind of magician's trick allows one to be piledriven repeatedly, be thrown 10 feet out of the ring on top of a table, be smacked across the back with a metal folding chair and still wrestle the next week. I realize the matches aren't real and that the wrestlers are not really trying to hurt one another but, still... some of that stuff has to hurt.

The talk about moms basement and the trailer park is so 1980s. In a month or so, the WWEs annual Wrestlemania show is going to be at Ford Field in Detroit where the last Super Bowl was. Sold out, 80,000 people, with ticket prices starting at just under 1000 bucks a pop. Live in the now.

I believe the moms basement still applies in context here.

If I knew that much about wrestling, I would want to live in the "real" world. IMHO.

Especially if it cost a $1000 dollars a pop with the outcome determined before you pay.

Hope you enjoy the show.

I thought the $500 for the indy game I spent was bad, now I feel better..........

Live in the real world.

Hey you're from Iowa. That's not wrestling.

Reaper16 01-25-2007 09:27 AM

It's a show -- entertainment -- and [nearly] everyone who watches it knows that. It combines athletic competition elements with the characters and plots and such from the theater or television, etc.

Plenty of people enjoy the combination of elements, apparently.
