LT a priority in the draft
This just made me laugh
Chiefs | Left tackle a likely draft priority Wed, 7 Feb 2007 07:53:12 -0800 Bob Gretz, of KCChiefs.com, reports the Kansas City Chiefs will likely target a left tackle early in the NFL Draft should they be unable to come to terms on a contract with free agent OT Jordan Black. Unable to come to terms.. he should be paying US!!! good riddance |
The guy gave up the most sacks of any offensive lineman in the NFL. We did throw him into a difficult position and he's better suited as a guard, but I don't see him having much leverage in negotiations. I think we should keep him as a backup guard.
|
I would tend to agree.. he would probably be a serviceable guard
but for Gretz to imply that we won't be looking for a LT if we should sign Black is horrific |
Black was so much better by season end that sure a lot of folks will go after him. Chiefs will resign him, they have too much invested at this point
|
I don't care if we sign him back or not, we need a LT
|
LT LT LT LT LT then DT DT DT DT DT after that who cares ...

Black is probably a mediocre guard and a servicable right tackle. A left-tackle he is not. I have a hard time seeing anyone giving Black LT money.
I'm surprised we're not hearing more about Svitek. I thought he was supposed to be the answer at LT. |
I can't believe they're even considering starting Black at LT again.

it's all about the money...
dammit carl! :cuss: |
If the chiefs start Black at LT next year there is NO reason to draft or get any free agents on the offensive side of the ball. I don't care if we got Calvin Johnson in the draft with Black at LT our "O" will still suck.
|
That is humerous.
We need 2 OTs and 2 Dts and a corner. |
Drafting a LT in the first round will be expensive, and too huge a gamble. I'll bet a dozen donuts that we pick a CB in the first round.
|
I think that probably the best value for talent at a position of need for us is probably a WR in the 1st
