I acknowledge that it's a classic. But it is also rather unfunny. If those guys tried that bit on a comedy show today they'd be booed off the stage.

CoMoChief 03-11-2007 09:03 PM

A couple of my friends nailed it during this talent show in high school. Im surprised too because one of them was a complete dumbass.

I don't want to watch the video. Is that that who's on first thing? If so, it's not funny at all.

Simplex3 03-11-2007 09:03 PM

Not. It's too contrived.

Deberg_1990 03-11-2007 09:07 PM

Its probably a little too smart for todays youth. It also contains no profanity or vulgarity, so its doesnt jive with todays audiences..

Thig Lyfe 03-11-2007 09:18 PM

I definitely think it's funny. Old school, certainly, but still funny.

CoMoChief 03-11-2007 09:28 PM

I dont think it's "Now" funny. But it would definately be funny if you grew up with the Pilgrims.

Direckshun 03-11-2007 09:37 PM

Still think the "naturally" bit works.

Not particularly funny.

I liked it when I was younger. Not sure what's changed.

FDS 03-11-2007 09:47 PM

The "slowly I turn" bit was better.

That's not my bag either. I like creativity. Sweeping stories that come full circle with the unexpected punchline. Dry, silliness.

Ultra Peanut 03-11-2007 10:21 PM

It's funny.

slightly funny, probably because of it's classic status, delivery means so much, and if they did it today with better delivery and hip comedians, it could bring some laughs.
