A Commercial Question for Women
 

There's shoe commercial running now that makes a claim I simply do not get. What is brave about a 5'10" woman wearing wedge heels? This has me baffled.

Yes. A wedge is a shoe with a flat bottom in which the foot is elevated as if wearing high heels. I'll look for a photo.

Maybe the bravery is that when seen in shoes like that people automatically assume you're a transvestite hooker.

Perhaps. I love heels but will not wear wedges.

My prom date jr year was around 5'10 and wore heels. I'm 6'3 and her hair almost made her look taller than me.

Admitting that she used to be a man? :p

This must have been in the late 80's, early 90's. The wall of bangs, no?

I won't wear them because I think they're ugly. That, and I don't wear heels.

I'm 5'7". My only guess as to someone tall wearing them would be balance issues.
