Tech help: weird laptop problem

I dropped my laptop yesterday. It was in its case, and the strap failed and fell from the height of my hip.

Now it has this strange overheating problem. Both fans will start running and won't stop. The air coming from one fan is warm, the air coming from the other is cool. Its like there is a poor air circulation problem or something.

Very minimal CPU is being used, so it isn't that.

Any ideas what is going on? Is it worth opening the case and taking a look around?

I would look is this a CPU fan and pull heat out fan?

a vent may be blocked something loose or broken/wedged....

Yeah, somethings probably blocking air flow. I'd try spraying some canned air in your vents to see if you can knock some dust loose or something. If anything actually broke off in there, you'll definitely want to open it up and assess the damages.
