The time is once again here for us few fans of the NHL to have a thread to discuss the Stanley Cup.

Use this thread to discuss how your team is doing (or not Avs and Blues fans... LOL)

For those uninterested, feel free to waste your time telling us how hockey sucks...it will only make the thread stay at the top longer.

Yup, my team missed by a point, so I guess I'm going to have to root for the Devils. Damn it.

Although they have choked the past few years... this year they seem to be playing with a little more heart. They've been missing that power forward role that Shanny filled when he was younger and McCarty always seemed to step into during the playoffs, they traded for that guy, in Bertuzzi (I know... he had that shitty move against the Avs a few years back, but he's still a player). Also, their best scorer isn't playing hurt like he was last year. add to that they have a playoff proven Hall of Fame guy in goal, rather than a career backup like last year.
They also have some paybacks toward Calgary... so I don't think they will lose first round this year. I hope I'm not wrong again.

I'll pick the Devils too. Marty is the only guy I used to like when I watched a lot of hockey who is still playing.

They gave it a noble effort at the end...

It sucks the Avalanche couldn't get a point against Nashville, but all of those bad decisions finally caught up to them.... the upside is they showed you can't keep them down for long.


And if all the higher seeds win in the West, it'll be Forsberg vs. the Red Wings in the second round :D

The WIngs have owned Nashville all year.
