We have a longstanding policy here that if you're not contributing to the football board at all, you're not a productive member.

I just ran a cross-section of your posts, and you've talked less football in the last few months than ClearVision.

You yourself said you're just not passionate about football anymore. A quick glance at your posts suggest that if you're that narrowly focused on human interest stories and politics, there's better bulletin boards for you to frequent.

And before anyone comes running in screaming about how unfair this is, it's happened before. We've banned multiple people under this very same premise.

Well, it is a sports oriented place... there are plenty of other places for political agendas and bitchy nonsense.

I disagree with this. The ignore function still words does it not? This is a slippery slope. But I'm just a frequent visitor not an all powerful mod.:p

I'm not sure people should be banned for not being "productive members." I, for example, started frequenting the board in 2002 and have only posted some 200 times since then. I have friends who have been here longer and posted fewer than 100 times.

How productive is productive enough? Is there a specific requirement for degree and quality of passion for football to be allowed on this board?
