We may get a low pick for Wesley.

We may get a mid-rounder for Green.

We may get two high picks for LJ or Allen.

And before you know it, we'd have gone from 6 picks in the draft to 11. I've been getting anxious for a while admist reports that Herm wanted to stockpile picks that we weren't ever going to get around to doing it.

When do you expect the rest of these alleged trades to go down? Any chance they occur after the Draft, for picks in 2008?

I wouldn't expect an LJ or Allen trade to happen until after the draft. I don't think teams would trade for players that haven't agreed to long term contracts with them.

I expect only the Green trade has a chance to happen. Just my opinion, but ...

1. Only a sweet sweet deal would convince CP to trade LJ, just don't see that happening.

2. Allen has much more value to us, even with looming suspension and FA exit, than anyone else with the Commish Nazi crackin down right now. Don't see this happening either.

3. Wesley sucks, and is way overpaid. Who wants him?

Because some guy supposedly talked to Wesley, and this is what Greg thinks is gonna happen? Yah, ok.

don't forget Dante Hall ..... i bet we get a 5th rounder for him.

Here's a big, but reasonable wish list, if any of these guys are traded:

Dante Hall for '07 5th, plus jump 2 spots in the 3rd, is done. Nice deal, imo.

Trent Green to Miami for '07 4th + conditional '08 Day2.

Greg Wesley for a 5th.

a) LJ for a '07 top 10, - a KC 5th.
b) LJ for a '07 mid-1st + 4th.
c) LJ for a '07 late-1st + 3rd.

Jared Allen for a 3rd.

IMO, only the LJ trade value is inflated, just cause it's gonna take that can't refuse deal to convince me to trade our best player. Otherwise, it's not beneficial at all for me. That is, if I were GM for the next week.

Waaaay undervalued Jared Allen there.

agree, way undervalued for the player he is, but considering the big picture, seems reasonable to me.
