Going to Vegas
 

Just booked a flight and room in Vegas. I will be there October 19th to the 22nd. The chiefs will be playing at Oakland that weekend. Is there a good place to watch a game there? I have never been and if anybody would like to give me some tips on what to see that would be appreciated.

U talking to me Tiny? The Zone is a nice place to watch sports. I used to go to the one in the ATL when I lived there and enjoyed the theatre screen and many Guiness. The Sports books suck by comparison.

Agree on the SportsZone thing, but in Vegas on game day Hurricanes is the only place in town (though it's kind of outta town) any respectful Chiefs fan would be seen.

What's the deal with Hurricanes and Chiefs games? Can you elaborate?

Hurricanes owner is a Chiefs fan. Thus it's a Chiefs bar in Vegas (pictures & memorabilia everywhere). I was there earlier this year to see KU get knocked out of the playoffs, but the Chiefs are really the only KC area representation in the bar (I don't know that he supports any other KC teams). There were a couple other tables there with KU supporters though

If you read through the thread that I linked, the Hurricane was sold and is no longer a Chiefs bar. Carlota (a DJ in Vegas and Chief fan) will keep her eyes and ears open (and God knows what else*) to find us a new place to gather to watch the game.

At this point, it appears there could be 6 - 10? Planeteers in Vegas that weekend.

Any chance a mod could merge this with the original and then sticky it?
