A little help, please

Hey, gang

I am looking for help with a little technical trouble- no one is able to open my "Word" attachments (even though I can send them to myself and open them on my computer and I can open them without trouble at Kinko's). I am guessing the problem is that the attachments are written in Microsoft Word 2007 and that the other recipients have some other version of Word. Of course, this is only a guess.

a. Is is possible that different versions of Word do not recognize each other?

b. How do I correct the problem so people without Word 2007 can open and read my Word 2007 documents?

If it's what I think it is, your recipients have to download an update module from Microsoft that allows them to read the new format. DaFace knows all about it.

Here's how to save the files you create in a format older versions of Word can handle...

Do you think it is what I think it is? (different versions of Word do not recognize newest version of Word)

You need to save your documents in an older format - or they need to install the conversion pack on their machine.

Exactly.

Ah, I am now seeing that "Word 2007" gives you the option of saving documents as "Word 97-2003" compatible documents. Thanks to all who responded.
