Name the Sports Records you think will never be beat...

I'll go with 2, Byron Nelson in 1945, 11 straight wins and a total of 18 that same year.........

What say you Planeteers ?

DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak

My hitting streak in High School

SCTrojan 07-29-2007 09:17 AM

Johnny Vandermeer's two consecutive no-hitters. In order to break it, someone would obviously have to throw three consecutive. Won't happen. Not ever.

kcfan82 07-29-2007 09:18 AM

Carl Petersons streak of bumbled draft picks

FAX 07-29-2007 09:19 AM

Cal Ripken's 2130 consecutive games, or whatever the number was.

There are truely several records that will never be broke ........

I'd have to think the Dolphins' single season record would be high on the list. The way the NFL runs now makes it hard for a team to play to win for 16 games and then win throughout the playoffs. I don't want to say it's the hardest but it's pretty damn hard.

Cy Young, 511 wins. Different game now, and no one will come close.

Ultra Peanut 07-29-2007 09:24 AM

Hank Aaron's 755. Sorry A-Rod, but even you're going to have trouble getting there.

Coogs 07-29-2007 09:25 AM

Georgia Tech's 212 points in one football game.
