Chiefs: Playing for 2008? An NFC View
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200.../tucker/6.html
7. I think the most logical team to sign Leftwich is Kansas City. Logical, and wrong, evidently. Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the new backup quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs ... from Coastal Carolina, Tyler Thigpen. As a personnel man from an NFC team told me Sunday night: "There is only one team in the NFL that should have signed Leftwich -- Kansas City. And they sign Tyler Thigpen? With Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle as their quarterbacks? It's a clear sign to me they have no intention of doing anything this year, except get ready for 2008.'' |

No to Leftwich.

**** THE NFC

Blow my Arrowhead

The NFC is horrible compared to the AFC. Hell if the Chiefs were in the NFC they'd have a legit shot at the playoffs.
|
if only we were that smart....
|
If thats the case then why is Huard starting? This team just leaves you scratching your head ,either your rebuilding for the future or your not Brodie as bad as he played in the preseason should be starting if your rebuilding, if not you go after Leftwitch & keep wr that can catch the ball to take heat off the run game :hmmm:
|
They're wrong, and there's two reasons why...
1) Damon 2) Huard |
cause ppl from the nfc know how to win...
|
It's probably a guy from Arizona or Atlanta.

Leftwich = more money then thigpen. And leftwich isn't the future of the team croyle is.

An eye towards 2008? What a moron.
Doesn't this guy realize that Carl's contract doesn't expire until January 2009 and it won't be until then that the Chiefs can even begin to THINK about looking towards winning again. I assume Clark Hunt's plan until then is to continue to let Carl and Herm destroy the franchise so someone can come in 2009 (Bill Cowher?) and completely rebuiild the franchise from the ground up. |
