I'm sorry to do this.....
It's another fantasy post. I was going to post in one of the others, but I'm not sure I'd get anyone to see it.
I've got 2 trades out there that I want some opinions on.....and I ask you to all stop being homers..... This is a 10 team keeper league (keep 2 offensive, not at same position, and 1 defensive player). Scoring is pretty well traditional (1 yard per 10 yards rushing), but I've tried to make other positions besides the RB position as important.....meaning increased scoring at other positions, etc. Here they are, see what you think......... Trade #1: Team A will give Travis Henry & Terrell Owens Mr. Plow will give Larry Johnson Trade #2: Team A will give Ronnie Brown, Torry Holt, & 2008 3rd Round Pick Mr. Plow will give Larry Johnson I think LJ has a down year, but I'm not trying to get rid of him. But I will give him up for the right price. I'm thinking trade #1 is no good. Trade #2 takes what I have - #1 back - but gives me a pretty solid recieving group and a young back. Taking off your Chiefs glasses, what do you think? PS. Sorry again for another FF thread. |
1. **** your additional fantasy football thread. :)
2. Trade #2 is garbage - DO NOT DO IT 3. Trade #1 is good, TAKE IT If you say players (such as WR) are worth more and RBs not so dominant, then TO + Henry should more than compensate for LJ. TO + Henry >> Holt + Brown + 3rd round pick in the future If you worry about next year's draft now, you're giving up on now. You can't give up! YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. |
I wouldn't do either, personally.
Henry hasn't proved he can stay healthy. If he could, that's a great deal. Ronnie Brown isn't my idea of a #1 back, and Holt had a knee surgery in the offseason and it's been reported here in STL that he won't be 100% all year. LJ may have a down year, but to me, it's not worth the risk of either of those two trade offers...... JMO. |
I'd make trade #1 if you are dead set on getting rid of LJ. I dont like trade #2 at all.
|
Henry's injuries are what concern me. I looked at Ronnie Brown and he rushed for like 1050 yards in like 12 games.....but only had 5 TD's.
|
I'm not dead set on giving him up.....just put him out there to see what I would get.
