The US Interstate Highway System rocks
 

Due to a spectacular display of incompetence by several individuals, Monday morning I found out that I needed to be in Virginia by Tuesday afternoon and flying would not be an option. Made it with time to spare. Sometimes we forget what a spectacular accomplishment the interstate highway system really is.

From my driveway in Kansas. to looking at the Atlantic in 20 hours. Take that Autobahn.



Oh, and don't speed near Evansville, Indiana.

See how much you like Interstate 95 in South Florida M-F 7am-9am and 5pm-7pm.

so I take it you didn't run into any road construction? which would be amazing

Nope. Just a suggestion that I slow it down a bit. I assured the kindly Highway Patrolman that I would most certainly pay closer attention to my speed.

Yeah, they'll get you on I-64. Did you develop narcolepsy like I usually do on the drive from Mt. Vernon, IL to Evansville? I'm 2 for 2 on that damned road.... At least there's nobody ever around on it for me to swerve into as I pass out from boredom.

It probably sucks, but not as much as driving from coast to coast on a series of dirt roads and muddy ruts.

I don't have any major problems with the system, though I do think that my proposed system is better.

My suggestion

I didn't say the system couldn't be improved.

I should also add that it's the year 2007 and I still don't have a flying car.

In general if you started killing off all the blue hairs and canadians in florida, everything would be much better.
