Since my playoff predictions will probably have little bearing on the Chiefs this year, I thought I'd do a top 5 draft choice watch instead.

After week 1, I project that we have a 16.5% chance for a top 5 draft choice. This is probably lower than actual, because my early season power ratings are heavily weighted by the Vegas expectation of 7.5 wins this season.

I say we are closer to 4 wins than 7..you should factor it that way.

I've got another power rating method that would reflect that. I may code that up this week, just to better reflect our draft chances. Within a few weeks the Vegas odds will play a smaller and smaller role any way.

With a top 5 pick, we should be able to get a really good kicker, right? :banghead:

That's easily solved. Hit the road.

We should be able to trade down from the 3 spot and get more picks. That way we can draft 7 good punters...

After this week's games, our odds of a top 5 draft choice have soared to 29%. We're on our way!

A bad week for Mecca. The victory dropped our odds of a top five draft pick to 18%. Carl would probably just end up trading it away for Brett Favre anyway.

LOL......well considering the next 3 games we'll probably get back on track to this...

If you remember I did count Minnesota as a win in my preseason predictions.

And some people call you pessimistic.
